Again, on audio cd. I chose this after listening to Fantastic Mr. Fox, thinking I'd not read it for ages and would really enjoy it, but actually wasn't so keen which was a bit of a let down. A break from Dahl for me for a bit I think!

In the car on audio CD again! This is one of Jonathan's favourites at the moment, but I'm getting a bit fed up of it now...

I read this one out loud to Jonathan and he loved it - and I loved reading it to him! I can't wait to start the next one.

I own an extremely old, tatty hardbacked copy of this book, but I love it. I have been reading this since I was quite small, and now I realise I didn't get a lot of the references to American things in the book. I think I last read this online - it definitely needs the little line drawings to make the book! And such a happy ending :D

A quick and easy read - one of the few books where I like the film as much as the book! I love Quentin Blake's illustrations as well - they remind me of reading Dahl's books as a child.

I picked this one up following a trip to a National Trust property, and it reminded me about this series of books. I have read these many times and still enjoy them - a lovely account of living behind the scenes in a National Trust house.

I've not read a Chalet book for ages and really enjoyed this one! I think I'd forgotten most of the story, only remembering the bare bones of it. I'll probably be tempted to read another one now!

This one was the return journey's story! Much shorter, but still much enjoyed and laughed at!

This was enjoyed in the car on the trip to Lancaster by both Jonathan and myself! It was the perfect length and I was impressed how well Jonnie listened and how much he enjoyed it.

I've read this before, and enjoyed it, so when I saw it in a pile of books heading for the charity shop I thought I'd have a quick read before it went off! Sad, but lovely.
